16 percent of the US population are Hispanics; it means that there are about 50.5 million Hispanics in this country, plus 4 million residents of Puerto Rico. In total, there are approximately 54 million of Latinos in The United States; where 17.1 million of that population are 17 years old or younger, also they are enrolling in kindergarten, elementary, middle, and high school programs in American public schools. In 2020, New Jersey's Latinx population was over two million people, making up 21.6% of the state's total population. This was up from 17.7% in 2010. 

 The Hispanic population in New Jersey grew by nearly half a million people between 2010 and 2020, which is a growth rate of 28.8%. The state's overall population growth rate was 5.7% during that time.
