Don will be leaving the IMPACT Group, a WBE certified career management consulting firm in August 2014 as a Senior Career Consultant after 7 years. Prior to this, he served in outplacement counseling as Director of Career Management Services for the NY Metro Region for the Spherion Corporation. Earlier, he was an Associate Director where he established, managed and grew profitable business in interim executive placement, general recruitment and staffing for the Norrell and Spherion Corporations throughout New York Region. In his early career in university counseling centers he served as a student development specialist. His legacy for compassion and innovation was creating and establishing Student Peer Counseling programs still operating today. Using “career concept” as a dynamic personal and professional development tool, he authored numerous career planning resources and published an undergraduate four-year career planning guide. For several years Don also served AT&T and its subsidiaries as a corporate education and career consultant.
Don is a Board Certified Coach (BCC) which he received from the Center for Credentialing and Education and earned certificates in Retirement Options as a Life Options Trained Specialist from Retirement Options, Inc., and Adult Career Development and Assessment from Queens College (CUNY). He earned a Master’s in Counseling and Development from Hunter College (CUNY) and a BA in Political Science from Richmond College (CUNY)
